Chesed:  Do you know of one of our TBE members or friends who is ill, “under the weather,” or has had a death in the family?  If the person is in a hospital or care facility, provide as much information as you can, such as the name of the facility, phone number, room number, address, and anything that helps us to make contact.

Prayer Team: Do you have a special need that you would like covered in prayer? 

Temple Beth-El History: Our interest in chronicling the history of Temple Beth-El continues.  Please contact the Temple if you would like to assist or have documents, photos, or other information that may be helpful in this very important undertaking.

Alpena Peace Community: As part of our community outreach, some TBE members participate in the Alpena Peace Community which aims to provide community events that promote goodwill among ALL people. For further information, please contact alpenapeacecommunity@gmail.com.

Temple Beth-El is a member of L’Dor v’Dor — a group of six congregations from Northern Michigan and Northern Ontario. L’Dor v’Dor shares resources, plans shared events, learns from each other, and enhances the Jewish experience of its member communities.

On August 16, 2025, the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan presented an award to L’Dor v’Dor and its six member congregations, including Temple Beth-El.  JHSM’s Board of Directors chose to honor L’Dor v’Dor and its congregations with their L’Dor v’Dor Award which recognizes an exceptional project or program dedicated to handing down Jewish history and culture to the next generations.  Temple Beth-El is pleased to be included in this consortium.
